Q: What is the main value proposition of ForexTV MarketVision?
A: MarketVision is the only technical analysis tool available that contains both ProSticks and Ichimoku in the same charting application.

Q: What is ProSticks? What is a Modal Point?
A: ProSticks is a patented theory that attempts to reduce the limitations that other technical analysis and charting tools encounter by including information to account for both time and volume. The Modal Point in a ProSticks bar represents the most heavily transacted price for the particular time interval. Similar to Market Profile, ProSticks uses the bell-curve theory to determine the Modal Point.

Q: What is Ichimoku?
A: The Ichimoku Kinko Hyo Japanese charting technique was developed before World War II with the aim of portraying - in a snapshot - where the price was heading and when was the right time to enter or exit the market. The Ichimoku chart consists of five lines. The calculation for four of these lines involves taking only the midpoints of previous highs and lows, similar to moving average studies. Yet even with this simplicity, the completed chart is able to present a clear perspective of the price action. Ichimoku is identified by the signature cloud or “kumo” formation.

Q: How do I use MarketVision in my trading?
A: Using our daily research reports as a guideline you will find MarketVision an indispensible tool for confirming trade decisions (entry and exit points) or as a stand-alone decision support tool.

Q: Does MarketVision Provide me with other popular charting studies?
A: Yes, MarketVision contains most of the major technical studies so it can be used as a comprehensive tool in your technical trading routine.

Q: Can I use MarketVision for “scalping” trades?
A: Short-term trading is the most difficult type of trading and involves a high degree of risk. While ProSticks is designed for longer-term trades, Ichimoku will help to identify short-term support and resistance. If you are a short-term trader, you will benefit from using MarketVision.
